BS Celtic travelled to Rickinghall for this open cup game . Going on passed experiances this was going to be a tight encounter. Chances were had at either end the best for Celtic was a 25 yard strike from R.Chappell which was inches over the bar. Hall's front pair tormented celtic's defence and they went in front just before the break . Holland should have levelled but blasted his close range effort over the bar.
Celtic changed their formation and introduced L.Norton who turned in the box and equalised from 6 yards. Good passing was produced by both teams and chances were still not being taken , Rickinghall had four succesive corners but Celtics re gaurd stood firm.L. Sayer had a chance to put celtic in front but put his effort wide. Rickinghall broke down the left and a cross came in but the striker glanced the ball wide, Strangley the ref gave a corner and hall scored to go in front. With 5 minutes remaining Celtic threw everything forward and the best chance went to man of the match M.Zdrenka who's close range header was tipped onto the bar and cleared to saftey
