an under strength bs celtic took on the C**K inn from stanton with ten men in this div 2 clash. being a man down they started on the back foot and went a goal down on 10 mins. celtic still tried to play their passing game and they were rewarded when debutant d.portway curled a shot in to the top corner to equalise. celtic were under the hammer for long periods and had to rely on a.welford in goal to keep them in the game. celtic were awarded a corner and veteran d.rolfe supplied a cross for s.proctor to powerfully head home.
barnes, proctor and chappell worked tirelessly in celtic's mid feild to twart C**K inn's attacks. inn won numerous free kicks but failed to find the target,they got back on level terms after their striker turned on the edge of the box and found the back of the net.d.portway put celtic back in front with his second of the match. and although celtic had the numerical dissadvantage they were on top and after a s.proctor's long throw r.chappell got a touch to give celtic a 2 goal cushion . portway should have had a third but went narrowly wide . with time running out and the C**K found a way passed the celtic rear guard for a third and set up a nail bitting last couple of minutes, but celtic stood firm and held out for a valuble and a hard fought 3 pts.
